A group of theatre-makers attempt to stage a piece of important social issue drama. They get distracted by their own insecurities, egos, and the psychology of acting.
The end result is a self-referential meta work that asks the question: Does new writing have to make a statement?
Written and developed by Elliott Cook and Iskandar إسكندر R. bin Sharazuddin. This original work attempts to deconstruct form as the ensemble wrestle with where a performance begins and where it ends. Part scripted and part improvised, A Gigantic Fuck You To You All is a self-deprecating play about the process of making a self-deprecating play.
12 – 22 December 2011: Lazy Susan’s Comedy Den, The Brisbane Hotel.
