A celebration of dance recognising the rich versatility of Filipino director, dance artist, and choreographer Para Isidro.
This musical revue is an intimate glance at Para’s relationship with her artistic and musical influences that stretch across cultures from Ástor Piazzola to Stephen Sondheim. Throughout the piece Para explores the impact dance and music has on the body and the soul.
Standalone dance pieces influenced by diverse cultural styles are accompanied by moments of story and song. Para is an internationally renowned dancer and choreographer. Together with an ensemble of guests she celebrates togetherness and diversity highlighting traditional Filipino ballads, Latin infused rhythm, American jazz, hip-hop, and musical theatre.
